Southern Oregon is know for its scenic beauty, recreation, dining and culture. Within an hour of the cabin are: Crater Lake National Park, Cascade Siskiyou National Monument, the Pacific Crest Trail, Grizzly Peak, Lake of the Woods, and numerous mountain lakes and hiking, biking and motorcycling trails and roads.  The Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland is just 40 minutes away.  Two mountain restaurants are a short drive from the cabin. Nearby, Willowdale Ranch (the historic old Lindsay Ranch) offers discounts to Owl Creek Guests for guided trail rides around Howard Prairie and Lily Glen.
